The Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence and Educational Innovation
The Eberly Center is dedicated to advancing teaching excellence by integrating AI learning tools. Our initiatives include developing AI-driven educational resources and providing faculty with the knowledge to effectively utilize these technologies, enhancing both teaching practices and student learning outcomes.
Eberly Center colleagues help instructors deliberately and intentionally think about when and how to incorporate AI tools into their course designs and teaching. The following links — as well as our 1:1 teaching consultations — provide strategies and guidance to our faculty in considering what is most appropriate for their teaching context.
GAITAR initiative: ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Projects for AI in the classroom
The ¹û¶³´«Ã½GAITAR (Group for ¹û¶³´«Ã½ on AI and Technology-Enhanced Learning) initiative explores how artificial intelligence and technology can improve educational outcomes. Focusing on research and development, GAITAR leverages AI to create adaptive learning tools, intelligent tutoring systems, and personalized learning experiences, all while growing our working knowledge of AI.
The group studies effective uses of AI to support both students and educators, aiming to make learning more accessible, interactive, and responsive to individual needs. GAITAR also collaborates across campus to innovate in educational technology, contributing to the broader goals of improving teaching methods and enhancing learning environments through AI advancements.
